30 April 2007 – Intermediary-only insurer MMA Insurance plc (MMA) has today announced further developments in the growth of its commercial lines with the launch of its first product collaboration with the Acturis broker platform.

MMA has initially launched its small contractor’s liability product Master Tradesman Plus for all new business, with a further roll-out, including Property Owners, Shops and Offices and Commercial Vehicle, planned for the future.

The company recently made enhancements to Master Tradesman Plus with rate reductions for its most popular trades.

The Acturis broker platform enables brokers to receive and bind quotes from MMA, with minimal paperwork. Once bound, policy documentation is available directly in their Acturis system. The system also allows brokers to renew cover electronically.

MMA’s Commercial Underwriting Manager, Ian Page, said: “Developing our full Commercial Lines product range with Acturis complements the overall growth plans for these lines.

“Using the Acturis platform to distribute Master Tradesman Plus and ultimately the full product portfolio also reflects our commitment to making it easier for brokers to do business with MMA.”
